Childish Gambino

Check out Donald Glover a.k.a. Childish Gambino, star of the show Community on his new music video called Bonfire. I think the video is genius!

Candy Man Music Video

Here is the latest music video I directed, filmed and edited.

It's called "Candy Man" by my friend DJ Rob (Mista D.M.V.) featuring Academy Award winners Three 6 Mafia & Gucci Mane.

Enjoy!

What happens when you stop blogging?

Nothing…besides losing followers. The rest of the internet world keeps moving along and your blog becomes lost in the massive World Wide Web. People forget about your awesome blog and your awesome t-shirts (which you can buy by clicking on The Store/Tienda link).

Yes, it’s been a while since my last post. Do I have an excuse? No, not really. Though, I have been working to wrap up the filming of the documentary I started 3 years ago. Then it’s off to the editing stage for a few more months! I’ve also been working on a few music videos and some photo work.

See, I started San Mike Apparel to give me a break from my film and photography work because even though it’s fun, it does become a job after a while. Don’t get me wrong though, I wouldn’t want to do anything else, I love it, but I needed another thing to give me a tiny break from work.

Ok, so now I have SMA to give me that break and then what happens? I put it in the back burner. Why? Well because film and photography take priority. Wait! I want a break! No, not yet. Have to keep it going with my main priority. One month, two months, three months pass by...and I realize I don’t have time to take a break with SMA.

But you know what? I just realized that I need to start making some time or else SMA is going to get completely lost. Awesome SMA t-shirts will not be worn by awesome people like you if I don’t get back into the SMA mother ship.

Life is all about balance. We all have to balance work and personal time because if you don’t, you’ll never be happy. But this will require dedication.

I need to manage my time in order to do my film work, SMA work and of course to have personal time. Sounds like a lot of work but we are only here for a little while, then we head out to a better place. So, why not keep our lives full with hard work and fun times!?

Peace,
MiG

Dot

A stop-motion movie called “Dot”, directed by Sumo Science, is the first movie ever shot on a CellScope attached to a Nokia N8 smart phone.

The CellScope was created to transform a cell phone camera into a diagnostic-quality microscope in order to help medical professionals working in remote locations to capture and transmit images for diagnosis.

A total of 150 puppets (three puppets for each of the 50 poses) were used in this short film!
